Playlist - 23 october 2015

Hi everybody !

I have decided that every weekend I will give you a selection of 10 songs that pretty much sum up the week (like today's selection) or that I have just been in the mood to listen to.

  •  Hello - Adele (the video was released this morning and was directed by one of my favourite directors in the world, Xavier Dolan).

  • Johnny B.Goode - Chuck Berry  &  The Power Of Love - Huey Lewis (as you probably know, this wednesday was pretty much all about Back To The Future, one of my all time absolute classics. My parents and I are marathoning BTTF this weekend so I can safely assume I'll be listening to the soundtrack quite a lot. And there's never enough Rock'N Roll in your life).

  • My My, Hey Hey - Neil Young (as Mr Neil Young says "rock'n roll can never die")

  • The River - Bruce Springsteen (The Boss announced this week that he will be releasing "The Ties That Bind: The River collection" in december, which is basically a huge box set dedicated to one of my favourite songs ever ever ever).

  • Victory Celebration - John Williams (as you can see, this week's selection is pretty much only about sci-fi and rock'n roll and what is more sci-fi and rock'n roll than a new Star Wars trailer in which you can see Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon ? (feels). "Victory Celebration" is the last song of episode VI, when the trio and their allies celebrate their victory on Endor and it is my absolute favourite Star Wars track).

  • Perfect - One Direction (1D released their new music video which I find absolutely stunning. The location, b&w and lighting are very moving. IMO the song would sound a lot better with much less auto-tune, though and I can't wait to hear it live. The boys also released a new song called "Home" two days ago, which is really enjoyable. Can't wait for Made in the A.M to be out !)

  • As Noelle is a massive fan of Ed Sheeran's, here is her favorite Ed song: Photograph to celebrate the release of "Jumpers for Goalposts", his first concert film.

  • EMERGENCY ADDITION TO THE LIST. There is now a Vulcan Salute Emoji and I am SO proud! Here is the Vulcan Anthem to celebrate ! Dif tor heh smusma, my friends.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you like this playlist ! Have a good evening xx

  •  My My, Hey Hey - Neil Young (comme le dit Neil Young "rock'n roll can never die" autrement dit le Rock'n Roll vivra toujours, yeah !)

  •  The River - Bruce Springsteen (Le Boss a annoncé cette semaine la sortie d'un coffret spécial The River en décembre, appelé "The Ties That Bind".

J'ai très hâte d'entendre Made in the A.M !).
